Oscorp Threat Report: Cryptocurrency Theft Malware

Oscorp is a type of banking trojan malware that first appeared at the beginning of 2021 and threatens Android users. Its developers appear to have used a fake website designed to trick users into downloading an application for their mobile device.

Once installed, the malware gets the device user to provide accessibility permission. From there, it can steal the device owner’s banking credentials and even target the users’ cryptocurrency assets by sending balances to the attacker’s Bitcoin address.

Download our threat report to learn more about how Oscorp malware works, including:

  • how it attacks the Android Accessibility service which is designed for users with disabilities
  • how the program uses a phishing form that is overlaid on top of legitimate applications
  • how the malware steals 2FA codes stored in the Google Authenticator app.
